Rev. Lewis Asare Appointed Headmaster of Prempeh College

Rev. Lewis Asare, a Methodist minister, has assumed the role of the new headmaster at Prempeh College. Prior to this appointment, he served as the headmaster of Kurofa Senior High Technical School in the Asante Akyem South Municipality of the Ashanti Region.

Rev. Lewis Asare received his professional training as a teacher at Wesley College of Education in Kumasi and went on to earn his Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) and Master of Philosophy (MPHIL) degrees from the University of Education, Winneba.

His educational journey includes attending Armed Forces Basic Schools at the 4th Battalion Infantry (4BN), Uaddara Barracks, Kumasi, up to class four; Hooper International School, Tarkwa, for class five; and Catholic Primary and Lawra Basic Schools for the remaining basic education. He completed his secondary school education at Prempeh College, Kumasi.

In terms of his academic and administrative experience, Rev. Lewis Asare joined the Ghana Education Service (GES) as a Teacher in 1997. Over the years, he has been promoted to various positions, including Senior Superintendent in 2000, Principal Superintendent in 2003, Assistant Director II in 2009, Assistant Director I in 2013, and Deputy Director in 2018. He previously served as the Headmaster of Kurofa SHTS.

Reverend Lewis Asare, an alumnus of Prempeh College (Amanfoo SSS Pioneers 1993, Serwaa House), completed his secondary education in 1993.

Rev. Lewis hails from Hiawu Besease, in the Atwima Nwabeagya Municipality of the Ashanti Region. His parents are the late Very Rev. David Kwesi Asare and Madam Victoria Kwarteng. Among seven siblings, he is the fourth child. He is happily married to Mrs. Stella Afrifa Asare, and the couple is blessed with three children.
