Old Trafford hosts last 32 decider between Manchester United and Barcelona in Europa League
Manchester United and Barcelona will face each other at Old Trafford in the Europa League after their 2-2 draw at Camp Nou last week. Both teams are seeking a place in the last 16 of the competition, and the game promises to reignite their fierce rivalry.
United and Barcelona have both been in top form in their domestic leagues, with United sitting at third in the Premier League table and Barcelona eight points ahead of Real Madrid in La Liga.
Last week, Marcus Rashford was the star of the show, scoring a goal and forcing an own goal from Jules Kounde, while Marcos Alonso and Raphinha found the back of the net for Barcelona. The second leg at Old Trafford will determine which team moves on to the next round of the competition and earns bragging rights.
The two teams have faced each other in two UEFA Champions League finals in the past, with Barcelona coming out on top both times. However, United beat Barcelona on their way to winning their last Champions League title.
At Old Trafford, Barcelona will be without the services of Gavi and Pedri. Gavi is suspended, while Pedri is injured. United, on the other hand, will be without Anthony Martial, who is yet to return to full training. However, Antony, Marcel Sabitzer, and Lisandro Martinez are available for Erik ten Hag.
