This warning comes after the Ghana Meteorological Agency issued weather warnings for the 2023 forecast.

According to NADMO, the floods are likely to occur between April and June when the rains start, causing some roads to become impassable and damaging structures.

The organization is advising people not to stay in weak structures and to move to safer areas during the season.

Seth Kofi Osei Kissi, the NADMO Director for Ga East Municipal, stated in a press briefing on Friday, 24th March 2023, that individuals living in flood-prone areas should evacuate their unsafe premises to prevent the loss of life and property.
