Among the guests were Justice Sophia Akuffo, a retired Chief Justice, and Ibrahim Mahama, a business mogul and brother of former president John Dramani Mahama. They were captured in a photo alongside Kofi Amoabeng and other guests as they cut the giant green cake that was baked with the numbers 7 and 1. The cake was mounted on a platform that featured photos of Amoabeng encircling it.
Retired CJ Sophia Akuffo made headlines earlier in the month when she joined pensioner bondholders to protest at the Ministry of Finance, where she strongly criticized the government’s handling of the economy.
Meanwhile, Kofi Amoabeng embarked on a media tour where he discussed a wide range of topics, including the collapse of the bank he co-founded, UT Bank, national politics, and his personal life. These media appearances were aimed at promoting the second part of his book and the launch of his leadership foundation.
