Collaborating with NACCA and other stakeholders, he emphasized the reduction of subjects at the basic level, addressing concerns about content repetition.

Notably, the removal of Our World Our People (OWOP) from the curriculum was announced.

Mr. Agyemang-Duah outlined the streamlined 2024 Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE), consisting of five subjects: English Language, Mathematics, Science, Ghanaian Language, and General Knowledge.

This revamped approach aims to enhance the quality and efficiency of basic education in Ghana.
