Shops and offices located within the Central Business District of the Greater Accra Region will undergo a temporary closure lasting for three days.
This measure is being implemented to facilitate the final funeral ceremonies held in honor of the late Ga Manye, Her Royal Majesty Naa Dedei Omaedru III, who served as the Paramount Queen of Ga State.
The announcement of these arrangements was made by Lady Justice Naa-Yarlay Adjei Amoah, who holds the position of Chief of Staff at the office of the Ga Mantse and also serves as the Secretary to the Central Funeral Planning Committee for the late Ga Manye.
According to Justice Amoah, this closure will be in effect from the 27th to the 29th of October. In addition to the temporary closure of businesses, it is expected that these establishments will adorn their premises with black and red decorations.
Furthermore, various markets will also be adorned with black and red decorations to symbolize a collective period of mourning, which extends beyond the confines of the palace. Lady Justice Amoah humbly appealed for the cooperation of all community members during this time of grief.
