JUST IN: Akufo-Addo Revokes Appointment of 24 DCEs Immediately

Akufo-Addo Poised for Extensive Ministerial Reshuffle

President Akufo-Addo has Annulled the Appointment of 24 District Chief Executives President Akufo-Addo has revoked the appointment of 24 District Chief Executives (DCEs) with immediate effect.

In a letter signed on Friday, February 2, the President cited Article 243 (3) b of the Constitution and section 20 (3) (b) of the Local Government Act, 2014 (Act 936) as the basis for his decision.

The dismissed DCEs include Daniel Owuredu of Nkoranza North, Elizabeth Kaaki Mann of Ga East, Patrick Kumor of Weija-Gbawe, Alhaji Abdulai Adams of Pru East, and Dorcas Elizabeth Amoah of Nzema East. The President instructed, “Under separate cover, write to nominate their replacement.”

The reasons behind their dismissal remain unclear.
