The Ministry of Education (MoE) has officially announced the initiation of the school selection process for candidates appearing in the 2023 Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE).
In an official statement released on the 11th of August, 2023, and bearing the signature of their spokesperson, Kwasi Kwarteng, the Ministry disclosed the creation of an informative video detailing the guidelines for school selection. This step aims to offer a comprehensive understanding of the school selection criteria and procedures.
The dissemination of this video will encompass school screenings and widespread broadcasting on numerous television networks nationwide.
Additionally, both the video and the selection form will be made available on the official website of the Free Senior High School Secretariat, as communicated by the GES.
As a result, the “School Selection Guidelines Video Presentation” is set to run from the 21st to the 25th of August, 2023.
The exact dates and times will be conveyed to candidates by their respective Junior High School (JHS) headteachers.
Simultaneously, the “School Selection Period” is scheduled to span from the 23rd of August to the 4th of September, 2023.
This designated timeframe is when candidates can duly complete the selection forms and submit them to their JHS head teacher, as outlined in the statement.
Meanwhile, the current year’s BECE has concluded its proceedings. The examination wrapped up today across all examination centers nationwide.
