The flagbearer of the main opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), John Dramani Mahama, has called for a renewed commitment to elevate the standards of teaching and learning in the country.

Mr. Mahama’s call coincides with the celebration of World Teacher’s Day on October 5, 2023.

This year’s World Teacher’s Day revolves around the theme “The teachers we need for the education we want: The global imperative to reverse the teacher shortage.”
