Aquaya Institute is currently hiring Research/Program Managers and Senior Research/Program Managers (referred to as Manager/Senior Manager) for full-time positions. The successful candidates will be based in either Ghana or Kenya and will be required to travel extensively within the country of their location, as well as across sub-Saharan Africa.

The Manager/Senior Manager will oversee research program activities, including but not limited to:

• Executing Research Programs
• Developing research protocols and data collection tools
• Creating and monitoring timelines for completing project milestones
• Managing project budgets effectively
• Overseeing the ethical approval process and ensuring ethical principles are respected
• Leading fieldwork logistics and data collection activities with minimal supervision
• Developing training schedules and materials and leading training activities
• Administering effective QAQC methods to ensure data quality
• Managing both quantitative and qualitative datasets
• Performing quantitative data analyses
• Delegating tasks to, and supervising other employees as required
• Organizing partner meetings, leading them tactfully, and managing partner communication and reporting
• Maintaining clear communication with hired consultants

Dissemination

• Leading the preparation of project presentations, reports, briefs, and publications
• Participating in the presentation of program results at conferences and workshops

Initial Program Support

• Leading at least two components of the following projects: Urban Resilience by Building and Applying New Evidence in WASH (URBAN WASH), Enhancing Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (EnWASH), Assurance Fund.

The position will start as soon as possible, preferably by March 2023, and may be remote or based in-person in Nairobi, Kenya, or Accra, Ghana.
