Just five months into his tenure as the manager of Hearts, Slavko Matic appears to have lost the support of the fans, who are determined to see him gone before the upcoming Super Clash and President’s Cup on Sunday.
When Matic took over from Samuel Boadu in October 2022, the team initially enjoyed a good run of form, which pleased the fans, who had previously demanded Boadu’s dismissal.
However, Matic’s difficulties have become more apparent after a string of six league games with just one win and the team’s elimination from the FA Cup. As a result, he now faces the same level of opposition from the fans.
“Some fans, whom I support because Matic is not performing well, want him out,” said Kobby Jones to Joy Sports. “If the management does not prevent him from being on the touchline [on Sunday], we will oppose him because we believe he will not assist us. That is what we will do,” he concluded.
The club’s board has declined to comment on the situation.
