The global opening ceremony will feature an address by the Director-General of UNESCO, followed by messages from the three co-organizing entities: the International Labour Organization (ILO), UNICEF, and Education International.

As a significant part of the celebrations, UNESCO will unveil an exclusive photo exhibition showcasing educators from all corners of the world. This exhibition will present portraits and heartfelt testimonials, acknowledging their unwavering dedication, profound passion, and steadfast commitment to shaping the future.

In Ghana, teachers will congregate at the GSTS auditorium in Takoradi, Western Region, where the President of the Republic, Nana Akufo-Addo, is scheduled to deliver an address. Additionally, a select group of teachers will receive well-deserved recognition for their outstanding contributions to education.
