Ghana Health Service Launches Network of Practice at Mayera Faase Health Center

In a significant move to enhance healthcare access and quality in Ghana, the Ghana Health Service (GHS) has launched the Network of Practice initiative, focused on strengthening the Primary Health Care system, particularly at the sub-district and community levels.

This initiative aims to build networks of health facilities to improve service delivery and ensure essential healthcare for all.

The launch took place at the Mayera Faase Health Center in the Greater Accra Region on June 28, 2024.

The event was chaired by the Chief Imam, Ibrahim Zakari, and attended by key figures including Dr. Yaa Danquah Akuamoah Boateng, the Municipal Director for Ga West, and Ms. Edith Akpene, the NCCE Municipal Director. Queen Mothers from the Faase and Osofoaman communities, representatives from the Ghana National Fire Service, local assembly members, and other stakeholders were also present.

Dr. Yaa Danquah Akuamoah Boateng explained that the initiative brings stakeholders together to improve healthcare delivery in the community.

The chairman urged all parties to collaborate to elevate the standards of the Mayera Faase Health Center, serving as a model for similar efforts across the country.

The launch was climaxed with a tour at the Mayera Faase Health Center.
