The Minister of Education, Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum, Affirms Government’s Pledge to Enhance Basic School Education during Education Week in Accra.
During the opening ceremony of Education Week on Monday, 20 November 2023, Dr. Adutwum, the Minister of Education, underscored the government’s unwavering commitment to enhancing basic school education. He highlighted a focus on infrastructure development and the integration of auxiliary equipment to create an optimal learning environment.
Dr. Adutwum, in outlining the government’s dedication, expressed a commitment to substantial investments across all facets of education. The ultimate goal is to equip students for global competitiveness in various fields.
The Education Week opening ceremony, themed “Education Delivery for National Transformation: A Case Study of STEM,” served as a platform to both celebrate and assess the government’s achievements in the education sector. It aimed to showcase the strides made in education and facilitate discussions on strategies for further improvement.
Representing the Vice-President at the event, Minister for Information Kojo Oppong Nkrumah reiterated the government’s dedication to investing in education. He stressed the importance of aligning education with industry needs, ensuring that students are well-prepared and industry-ready.
